In Don Det, Laos, we meet Samira from Iran. She is traveling for almost 5 months so far (Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Thailand). She is the first I met from Iran so far, and I tell her about how I liked Iran! She continues with us to Cambodia. We pass the Laos-Cambodian border on the 25th. The visa on arrival is kind of an organized mafia: the visa is supposed to be $20, but there $25 because it is a “remote area”. Moreover, they ask for $2 extra on both sides for the exit/entry stamp! And the guy collecting all passports in the bus takes $1 fee, so that I paid $30 for my visa! Even Samira who had already her visa has to pay the $5 for the stamp and the service!
