Met shortly in Jaipur after Khajuraho, Daniela told me she will come in Pushkar on the 14th. I actually took a direct bus from Jaipur to Pushkar on the 13th, but finally got out in Ajmer. Having difficulties looking for a room (most of the guest houses were full or not for touristd), I quickly understood it was a special day: many bankers had a special exam the day after. I finally got a crappy place but could enjoy the evening and sunset along the lake, on my own, then with an Indian family where the mid 20 years old son had his bank exam, and finally a group of younger students.
I visited the Muslim Shrine in the morning, the older Mosque close by and finally was looking for a place to see the whole from a good view point without climbing all way to the old fort.
I took a bus to Pushkar by noon, walked around the lake. The many ghats around make the place as a small Varanasi, it is however much more touristic and less impressive. This time, I got the motivation to walk up to the temple uphill and could get a nice view over the town.
I meet Daniela back in the Ghat and we had amazing discussions there, sharing our traveler experiences as well as some common familial situation.
